  • The Hero Impulse was an off-road oriented motorcycle launched by Hero MotoCorp in India in 2011. It was the first adventure bike from Hero MotoCorp and it gained a cult following among adventure and off-road enthusiasts in India.
  • The Impulse was based on the Honda NXR 150 Bros, which was a dual-sport motorcycle manufactured by Honda in Brazil. Hero MotoCorp developed the Impulse in collaboration with Honda, and it shared some components and design elements with the NXR 150 Bros. However, the Impulse had a different engine and some other differences in specifications, features, and styling compared to the NXR 150 Bros.

The Impulse had a unique styling that combined retro and modern elements. It had a partial analog and digital instrument cluster, a high-mounted exhaust, Enduro looks, and a raised handlebar.

Despite its off-road capabilities and unique styling, the Impulse did not sell well in India and was discontinued in 2017. However, it remains a popular bike among adventure enthusiasts and is often used for touring and off-road riding.

After ending the join venture why Honda helped Hero to make impulse ?

Yes, that's correct. Even after ending their joint venture in 2010, Honda continued to provide technical support and assistance to Hero MotoCorp for a few years as part of their mutual cooperation agreement. This included support for the development of new models, such as the Hero Impulse, which was launched in 2011.

While the Impulse was developed by Hero MotoCorp, it shared some components and design elements with the Honda NXR 150 Bros, which was manufactured by Honda in Brazil. Honda's technical support helped Hero MotoCorp to adapt and modify the NXR 150 Bros platform to suit Indian conditions and customer preferences.
